We make NO compromise with respect to Morality, Ethics, or Safety. If a design or work practice is perceived to be unsafe, we do not proceed until the issue is resolved.

This mission statement has been the basis for our safety record; being one of the best of any contractor in our business.

Our Safety Statistics are industry leading as evidenced in the charts below. It is commendable that S & B has had no lost time injuries or serious recordables for many years.

Success in workplace safety has also resulted in lower construction costs, both through efficiency of field activity and the achievement of minimum cost workers compensation insurance premiums. S & B’s safety performance has resulted in being assigned an Experience Modification Ratio (EMR) by the insurance industry that is second to none. The low EMR results in radically reduced insurance premiums, thereby creating value for our customers.
