Through “S&B Serves” initiatives, employees volunteered time and donations to support six local communities in need
HOUSTON, TX—January 7, 2025 –S&B employees gave back to their communities as part of the company's ongoing “S&B Serves” initiative. During the holiday season, more than 120 employees across six locations donated their time and $5,000 to local food banks, supporting those in need.
“Through our S&B Serves community relations programs, our employees have the opportunity to give back and support the communities where we live and work,” said Wendy Coker, S&B’s Vice President of Human Resources. “Our employees are known for their generosity and passion to serve others, especially during the holiday season. We’re so incredibly proud to see the impact we’re making in our local communities together.”
In December, S&B employees teamed-up to volunteer and contribute to the following food banks and community organizations:
- Houston Food Bank (Houston, Texas)
- The Shepherd's Market (Baton Rouge, Louisiana)
- Harvest Hope Food Bank (Greenville, South Carolina)
- Care Help of Sulphur (Lake Charles, Louisiana)
- Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana (West Monroe, Louisiana)
- East Texas Food Bank (Longview, Texas)
Launched in 2024, the S&B Serves program provides employees with an opportunity to support and give back to the local communities where S&B’s offices reside – ranging from the Gulf Coast Region to the Eastern United States.

S&B employees filled the Houston Food Bank’s warehouse as they sorted and staged 27 pallets of food that will make approximately 3,000 meals. S&B serves, the company’s initiative, offers employees local volunteer opportunities allowing them to give back to communities where they live and work.
More than 120 S&B employees from six locations volunteered at local organizations, including Care Help of Sulphur in Lake Charles, Louisiana. As a part of S&B Serves, employees and their family members participated in Kids Christmas Shopping Day where children shopped in the Care Help of Sulphur thrift store and picked out a gift for their parents/guardians at no cost. S&B Serves volunteers helped the young shoppers in the store and wrapped their gifts to take with them.
