Project Details
TAI, an S&B subsidiary, designed a $40M+ conversion of a 292' x 76' x 24.5' DP2 offshore support vessel into an offshore facilities commissioning vessel. Areas above and below deck were modified to support the vessel mission and endurance by installing larger marine sanitation devices, increased potable water, redirected power generation, heave compensated cranes and gangway, helideck, workshops, mess, recreation lounges and other facilities.
The engineering of this vessel was the first of its kind in the US and initiated new regulations for US Flag FLOATELS. We also assisted the owner with preparing shipyard bids and construction supervision.
