S&B was selected as the primary contractor to provide upgraded FEL designs and detailed plans for a large-scale pulp & paper client, with more than 30 locations spanning across the United States.
The multi-year project spanned over five years. S&B evaluated more than 30 paper mills, providing FEL packages and detailed design to improve fleet efficiency/production, produce a wider selection of roll sizes and modernize machine control systems. In the last three years, S&B completed detailed designs for four additional site upgrades, including one rebuild and three new systems, and conducted more than ten FEL2/3 designs and estimates.
S&B’s local experts, working with the customer’s corporate management team, helped quickly prioritize production and system integration upgrades, minimizing outage time and increase production and roll width flexibility. Real-time familiarity with vendors, contractors, and cost factors ensured an accurate, practical approach to project evaluation and execution.
